We limit our guests to a maximum of 40 so we can deliver personal service and help make sure you have a fantastic, pure sailing experience. We take a minimum of 2 guests and welcome enquiries from groups, businesses or individuals seeking luxurious and exclusive Great Barrier Reef sailing.

Low Isles is approximately 8 nautical miles from Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland, Australia.  Situated on a 200 hectare, oval shaped, Great Barrier Reef coral platform, Low Isles consists of a small coral cay, a large mangrove island, mudflats, seagrass beds, and coral reefs.  Low Isles and its historic lighthouse are protected by cultural and marine park legislation.

Sailaway sail primarily with wind power. All food and produce served on-board is locally sourced.  Our tenders use bio-diesel with low emission 4 stroke outboards, we recycle onboard and use Sani-Loo waste water treatment system. Mandatory Carbon offsetting contribution.

Port Douglas couple Steve and Katrina Edmondson are the passionate, hands-on owner/operators of Sailaway.  Their motto is to “deliver the finest and the best, with all things considered”. This means personal attention, 5-star luxury and a pure sailing experience like no other. It’s likely you’ll meet Steve, he’s our skipper as often as possible and usually at the marina.
